Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University as on or before 01 August 2025.
Age Limit (as on 01-08-2025)
Stenographer Grade ‘C’: 18 to 30 years (born between 02.08.1995 and 01.08.2007)
Stenographer Grade ‘D’: 18 to 27 years (born between 02.08.1998 and 01.08.2007)
Age relaxation applicable as per government norms.

SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/Women: Exempted (No Fee)
Selection Process
The selection process for SSC Stenographer includes:
Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
Skill Test in Stenography
Document Verification
Only those candidates who qualify in the CBE will be called for the skill test.
Exam Pattern
The Computer-Based Test includes the following sections:
General Intelligence & Reasoning: 50 marks
General Awareness: 50 marks
English Language and Comprehension: 100 marks
Duration: 2 hours
Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
